Sonaisali Island Resort shows generosity
Sonaisali Island Resort has announced that together with a generous donation received from Reckitt Benckiser a brand new Kindergarten facility was officially opened at Korovuto Village on Tuesday 21st October.
The Kindergarten will initially cater for the growing needs of Korovuto Village and prior to this new facility being built the local children were using the local community hall and sat on mats for all their lessons.
The completion of this project will greatly assist the future generations of the village and the neighbouring communities. The investment in development of children at this young age is vital to the future success of not only the village, but of Fiji.
Sonaisali Island Resort’s Managing Director, Aaron McGrath said, “Without the very generous donation from Reckitt Benckiser this much needed facility at Korovuto Village would not have been able to be opened this year.”
“Their donation and support of our local village is greatly appreciatedâ€
Lindsay Forrest –Reckitt Benckiser Australia/New Zealand spokesman said, “When their management team chose Fiji for its annual business conference that they decided to carry out a project that would have an impact and a make a positive contribution to the local land owning community of Sonaisali Island Resort.”
Village headman, Samuela Malua said, “The generous Reckitt Benckiser contribution would greatly assist the future generations of the village and nearby communities.” “There are 20 children currently enrolled in the kindergarten, including two Indian children from nearby farmsâ€
