Southeast Asia specialist Ethos Travel ceases operations
London based ASEAN specialist operator Ethos Travel announced ‘with great sadness’ its closure as most destinations it serves in Southeast Asia still remain off-limits for international leisure travel.
Ethos Travel was established 13 years ago.
"Only one out of our 11 destinations is currently (partially) open to UK travellers and as we face the prospect of uncertain future border openings and confused messaging, we have to accept that fundamentally we are a business without business," it said in a message to customers.
"We have tried to give the company time and opportunity to find a pathway through the current uncertainties – but this has proved impossible."
"We are indebted to all of our amazing staff and clients over the last 13 years – and to the incredible loyalty of those who have booked and rebooked.
"All bookings are ATOL bonded and we will be in touch as a matter of priority."
It offered trips to Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia aong other countries across the region.
