Southwest Airlines appoints governmental affairs MD
Jason Van Eaton has been appointed Southwest Airlines’ first Managing Director of Governmental Affairs.
The newly created position will have responsibility for leading the carrier’s Governmental Affairs Team, advocating for Southwest in Washington, DC and at state and local level.
"Jason will be a valuable addition to the Southwest Family and brings a wealth of experience in both the private and public sectors that will serve him well in this new role," said Southwest’s executive vice president and chief legal and regulatory officer Ron Ricks.
Van Eaton previously served as state director for Senator Kit Bond during 21 years working in politics and government in both state and federal affairs.
