Southwest Airlines extends in-flight booze ban
Southwest Airlines has extended its in-flight alcohol ban until at least early-2022. According to a memo sent to flight attendants, it is tied to the end of the federal mask mandate for air travel.
The mask mandate was extended to 18 January 2022. American Airlines also took the same decision to extend its alcohol ban last month. Earlier this summer Southwest announced it would resume selling alcohol but reversed that decision after a violent incident onboard a flight ended up with a flight attendant being hospitalized.
