Spabreaks.com keen to work with travel agents
Spa booking website spabreaks.com is keen to work with travel agents and has offered to split commission with any retailers bringing it new business.
Announcing the launch of National Spa Week, which begins on September 7, Spabreaks.com co-founder and director Abi Wright she’d also like to make visits to spas accessible to more people.
"I want to dispel the myth that spa is all about beauty," she said, adding that she’d like to see more cancer patients and guests with disabilities benefiting from spas.
Spabreaks.com works with more than 150 companies in the UK and Ireland, as well as overseas spas. During National Spa Week, more than 100 will offer discounts of at least 20% or they will provide other offers such as bring-a-friend-for-free.
Offers are available through Spabreaks.com.
Wright said Spabreaks.com sends away 7,000 guests every week, but would like to expand its reach by working with travel agents. "This is something to explore," she said. "We need to work something out for agents, such as a commission share. For instance, if an agent brought us a group booking for a hen group, we could take over the booking and split the commission with them. We’d be very happy to do this on an informal basis."
