Spain lifts ban on travel from UK
Spain said it will allow UK travellers into the country for essential reasons from 30 March. The country lifted the travel ban which had been imposed after the emergence of the UK Covid variant.
It applies only for essential travel such as education or health reasons and requires a negative PCR test. It is unlikely to have a major effect on passenger traffic due to the ban on overseas travel from the UK.
The UK variant of Covid-19 is now widespread in Spain, the Health Ministry said, and similar travel bans remain in place for South Africa and Brazil.
