Spas are offering more than massages
Meeting planners and leisure travelers alike are getting some creative spa choices such as the one at Ponte Vedra Inn near Jacksonville, Florida, where you can choose your music and even select the temperature in treatment rooms.
Other recent innovations:
v At the Elemis Spa at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, guests next year can get the Ten Cultural Touches of Elemis, a compilation of some of the most popular massages in the world.
v At the Spa at Sea Island in Georgia, opening next year, guests can take cooking classes from famous chefs.
v At the Fern Tree Spa at Half Moon in Jamaica, guests can consult with a “spa elder” who spends her days in a library to do research she passes on to others.
