Spice Island resort reopening set
The rebuilding of Grenada continues following damages last fall from Hurricane Ivan.
One example is the $12 million rebuilding project at Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada due for a re-opening on 15 December.
The resort has been closed since the fall.
“We might have been closed for a year, but fortunately we’ve not escaped the minds of travel agents and consumers who are booking us with confidence for the winter 2005-2006 season,” said Royston O. Hopkins, owner and chairman of the resort.
The resort includes a five-star restaurant.
One popular amenity will be the Nutmeg Pod supervised children’s program, which is believed to be the only program of its type in Grenada.
