Spirit launching New Orleans-Vegas flights
Budget carrier Spirit Airlines has announced plans to start nonstop daily flights from Las Vegas to New Orleans.
The service will take flight on November 13, and will become its sixth nonstop route from New Orleans Louis Armstrong International.
Spirit also serves Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, Houston, Dallas and Detroit.
"We are excited to see Spirit’s growing presence in New Orleans and look forward to this new, ultra-low cost option for travel to Las Vegas," said New Orleans’ director of aviation Iftikhar Ahmad.
Flights depart New Orleans daily at 7:00 am and return from Las Vegas at 7:50 pm Pacific time.
"Spirit customers love saving money on air travel and this route to and from New Orleans and Las Vegas does just the trick," said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines’ vice president of network planning.
