Starwood completes first stage of Le Meridien integration
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has completed the first phase of integrating Le Meridien properties acquired four months ago.
Le Meridien’s reservations, distribution, loyalty and sales functions have been integrated into Starwood’s global infrastructure and sales and marketing systems.
The work included adding more than 120 hotels to Starwood’s central reservation and distribution channels.
Starwood call centres are now fully operational and all of the former Le Méridien toll free numbers are redirected.
The merging of loyalty programmes has brought 100 new hotels to the Starwood Preferred Guest scheme and the closure of the Le Meridien Moments plan.
Michael Wale, senior vice president of Le Meridien operations, said: “Completing these initial integrations, particularly the merging of the websites and loyalty programmes, represents a key milestone in our transition, which we expect to be fully complete within six months.”
