Stella appoints new Group GM Marketing
Stella Travel Services today announced it had strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Tracy Meade to the position of Group General Manager of Marketing and Product.
“Tracy has a strong background in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) which we expect will allow her to bring a customer-focused approach to product development,” said Keith Stanley, Stella Travel Services Chief Executive Officer. “She is also indicative of the high quality professionals we’re attracting to the group as we build a substantial, fully-integrated travel services business
“Tracy is an excellent addition to the team and I welcome her aboard,” he said
Ms Meade has worked at London International Group, the owner of latex products group Durex, and Swire Pacific. Recently she was Chief Executive Officer of BTI New Zealand, where she succeeded in rebuilding the business into one of the country’s pre-eminent brands in less than three years.
Stella Travel Services is the travel agency and product supply division of the MFS-owned Stella Group. The business has more than 2,200 employees, 2,300 franchisees, total transaction value of $7.5 billion per annum and operations in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Vietnam, Cambodia, Dubai, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Stella Travel Services brands include Harvey World Travel, Travelscene American Express, Holiday Shoppe, United Travel, APX American Express, Travelscene American Express, Signature Travel, and BTI (New Zealand). Its wholesale businesses including Gullivers Holidays, Newman’s Holidays, Travel Indochina, TalPacific, Transonic and Concorde among others.
