Sun Country Airlines expands to Nashville with six seasonal routes
Minnesota based carrier Sun Country Airlines is winging its way to Nashville with six new seasonal routes.
It will fly to Nashville to home base Minneapolis/St. Paul, New Orleans and four Florida destinations.
These are Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.
"We are excited to add Nashville to our growing network and offer Nashville flyers affordable, nonstop service to their favorite travel destinations," said Sun Country CEO Jude Bricker.
Flights begin from November 2 and each will operate twice weekly.
"It gives passengers additional opportunity for travel and it brings additional competition to the Nashville market which hopefully leads to lower fares," said Doug Kreulen, CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority.
The airline has kicked off the expansion with introductory fares at $49 one way.
Sun Country recently transitioned to an ultra-low-cost carrier model and now offers more than 70 nonstop routes.
