Super Nintendo World launches at Universal Studios Hollywood
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD is now officially open at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Executives of Nintendo and Universal Studios Hollywood were joined by Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach to officiate.
“Today’s grand opening is very exciting, and we are thrilled to share it with our team members, fans and guests,” said Scott Strobl, EVP, Universal Studios Hollywood.
“This is truly one of the most dynamic moments in our history.”
SUPER NINTENDO WORLD features “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” ride, as well as many interactive activities.
It is a technologically advanced ride, inspired by the popular Mario Kart video game series, using augmented reality.
Guests are seated in four-seat vehicles as they navigate courses through head mounted AR goggles.
Power-Up Bands are wrist bands that sync with the official Universal Studios Hollywood’s free downloadable app to optimize the guest experience.
It tracks individual and team scores, collects digital coins and obtaining keys after winning Key Challenges.
Guests can win the Key Challenges from Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap and Thwomp Panel.
