Surf’s up with new Tahiti Packages
Air Tahiti Nui, the international airline of Tahiti and Her Islands, are riding the crest of a wave with a series of new packages for surf enthusiasts.
As the sport becomes increasingly popular, the airline has joined with specialist wholesaler Tahiti Bluewater Dream to offer seven-night packages to the world-famous Teahupoo Beach, home of tournaments including the internationally-renowned Billabong Pro Tahiti.
“Teahupoo is one of the must-see destinations for serious surfers,” said Craig Lee, Regional Director Australia for Air Tahiti Nui. “This location has attracted worldwide attention in recent weeks through coverage of the Billabong Pro, which concluded last week, and already bookings are starting to swell as other surfers queue up to ride the same massive waves.

“And on arrival, accommodation is at Blackwater Lodge, located above Teahupoo Village, and overlooking the spectacular Teahupoo Wave breaking in the distance.”
Packages are priced from $2716 per person from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, based on four people sharing – a low season fare of $2399 plus taxes of approximately $317.
Included are:
** Return Economy Class air fares with multi award-winning Air Tahiti Nui , including Australian taxes and charges
** Seven nights accommodation at Blackwater Lodge, Teahupoo
** Breakfast and lunch daily, and
** Hire of a small boat from which to enter the surf, or watch others close to the action (a driver can also be arranged at additional cost)

The low season for air travel – which currently applies – is from 01 April – 30 June, 26 August to 15 December and 21 January – 28 February.
The shoulder season applies from 01-31 March and 01 July to 25 August and the high season applies from 16 December to 20 January.
