Survey finds confusion over airline baggage charges
Nearly 75% of holidaymakers questioned by Lastminute.com said they plan to fly with much smaller bags or just hand luggage in order to avoid charges and possible fines.
The survey found over 40% are now confused by new rules on taking bags onto an aircraft.
One fifth said they had been caught out by new stringent regulations and have had to pay a fine.
Ryanair charges the most to check in bags, followed by Bmibaby.
