Suspect in triple killing at Philippines hotel is a former employee
The suspected killer of three tourists in a Philippines hotel was a disgruntled former employee, police say.
He was a former pool cleaner who had been fired.
He is suspected of killing two Australians and their Filipina relative.
Their bodies were discovered at the Lake Hotel in Tagaytay City by staff a week ago.
The unnamed suspect was paraded in front of cameras.
“He wanted to get back at the hotel management for his dismissal,” police chief Charles Capagcuan said.
All three were tied by their hands and feet and their faces taped up.
“The male had a wound in his neck and his blood is all over the floor,” police chief Charles Capagcuan said at the time.
He added that the females had no visible signs of the cause of death apart from a few bruises.
The attack happened the day the Australian couple were originally due to fly home.
Tagaytay is a popular high-altitude short break destination located south of capital Manila.
