Sustainable Destination Showcase Announced
Success Stories to be Leveraged Globally
Travelmole’s VISION on Sustainable Tourism is to run a Sustainable Destination Showcase in each issue from December 2007. The purpose of the Showcase is to highlight sustainable projects and actions so that many destinations can benefit from others successful experiences.
“The UNWTO Davos Declaration called for the tourism industry to obtain and benefit from a quadruple bottom line (economic, social, environmental and climate). We are happy to showcase destination sustainable success stories so that many others can benefit from these experiences. Stories only need to demonstrate sustainable local benefits and be able to be replicated – and we’ll run them!” Said Valere Tjolle, VISION on Sustainable Tourism Editor. “Our enormous global reach will enable successful interventions to be leveraged tremendously quickly throughout the world with consequent benefits to all”.
The next issue of VISION on Sustainable Tourism is due out on 11 December. Last copy date for Sustainable Destination Showcase in this issue is 4 December.
