Sustainable Tourism CRC appoints Stephen Gregg as new Chairman

National tourism leader Stephen Gregg has been appointed by the board as the new Chairman for Sustainable Tourism CRC, commencing his new duties immediately.
He will succeed founding Chairman Sir Frank Moore, who has announced his resignation after leading the STCRC for 10 years.
Sir Frank, revered in the industry for his outstanding contribution to Australian tourism over 30 years, joined his former board members in congratulating Mr Gregg on his appointment.
Mr Gregg, Development Director Macquarie Leisure Operations and Chief Executive Officer of Dreamworld, is also Chairman of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council, Adjunct Professor, Griffith University and has previously held the positions of CEO, Tourism Queensland and Managing Director of the Northern Territory Tourist Commission.
In accepting his appointment, Mr Gregg acknowledged the STCRC’s role as the peak research organisation for Australian tourism, saying, “The STCRC is critically important to the future growth and development of tourism in this country. I am pleased to have the opportunity to serve as Chairman and support the activities of the STCRC. I also look forward to working with the industry, government and university partners.”
