Sydney Olympic Park seeks tourism partners
The Sydney Olympic Park Authority has announced that they are calling for Expressions of Interest from industry to establish tourism and leisure facilities within the Park, with potential sites including the park’s existing world-class venues and outdoor spaces.
One of Australia’s premier tourist and leisure destinations, Sydney Olympic Park attracted more than 8.2 million visitors in 2006 and to ensure that the Park remains at the forefront of the nation’s tourist and leisure destinations, Sydney Olympic Park Authority is undertaking a search for new and innovative tourism activities and products, building on the Park’s existing infrastructure, venues and parklands.
“Sydney Olympic Park provides one of Australia’s best value propositions for both Australian and international tourists and we intend to continue improving on the Park’s already popular attractions,” said the Authority’s general manager sales, marketing and communications, Mark Rosenberg.
“We stand ready to work with the tourism and leisure industry to ensure that Sydney Olympic Park remains as one of Australia’s key tourism destinations,” Mr Rosenberg stated.
