Sydney set for Major League baseball
Sydney will host the Opening Series of 2014 Major League Baseball between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona
Diamondbacks.
The Opening Series signals the beginning of the Major Baseball League series, and has only been played outside the United States six times, including four series in Japan.
Games will take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Tourism and Transport Forum chief executive Ken Morrison said the games are a major win for Sydney.
"Events like the Major League Baseball games are a catalyst for travel, giving people a reason to plan a trip to Sydney," he said.
