Taco Bell hotel reservations sell out in two minutes

Sunday, 28 Jun, 2019 0

In less time than it takes to order a burrito, all rooms for Taco Bell’s buzzworthy pop-up hotel have sold out.

All rooms were apparently sold within two minutes of going on sale yesterday on a ‘first-come first-served basis.’

It was always likely to sell out fast not only because of the hype surrounding it, but also because it’s only open for guest stays from August 8-12.

The Palm Springs hotel has been touted as a Taco Bell superfan’s dream getaway, with the 70 rooms festooned with Taco Bell themes.

Amenities touted include a merchandise store selling Taco Bell branded gifts and a salon offering Taco Bell-themed nail art.

There is entertainment planned with performances from up-and-coming musicians, ‘dive-in movies’ by the pool and a ‘Freeze Lounge,’ serving up frosty beverages.

"Taco Bell fans are truly one of a kind and this is one of the best expressions of that fandom yet," said global chief brand officer, Marisa Thalberg, referring to how quickly rooms sold out.

Up until the time reservations went live, the hotel hosting the Taco Bell takeover had been a closely guarded secret.

The company announced it will be at V Palm Springs.

It still hasn’t revealed what will be on the menu but promised traditional favorites as well as many new, one-off items not available in restaurants.
