Tango with Tempo Holidays
Tempo Holidays has introduced a 4-day Taste of The Tango package in Buenos Aires which includes three two-hour tango lessons in the tango salons of the restored 100-year-old Mansion Dandi Royal, which also serves as the accommodation.
The package is from $353 per person twin share which includes return airport transfers in mini bus with a bilingual guide, 3 nights accommodation in a Dandi Room, breakfasts, tango lessons and fruits and champagne in room upon arrival.
Product Manager Nelson Fanelli says the package captures the essence of Argentinean culture, enabling travellers to experience this popular form of dance in its place of origin. “Because Tempo strives to deliver opportunities to experience traditions and culture which make a country truly unique, we see this as an important addition to our Argentina product range,” he said.
The lessons are conducted by the Dandi Tango Academy at the Mansion, which is located in the inner city Buenos Aires suburb of San Telmo, the birthplace of the Tango.
The Mansion Dandi Royal is an experience in itself. It is of an eclectic architectural style and filled with art nouveau pieces. The hotel and its 30 rooms are decorated with murals portraying tango scenes and original objects d’art. One of the main attractions is however, the 3 ballrooms where you can learn to dance the Tango on the original 1925 wooden floors.
