Tassie tourism infrastructure study

Saturday, 28 Mar, 2008 0

The ABC says that the Tasmanian Government is investigating how to attract more investment in the state’s tourism industry.

It’s started a project to identify what areas of infrastructure need to be improved to entice developers.

The Minister for Tourism and Economic Development Paula Wriedt says a consultant will be appointed to help identify any gaps in infrastructure.

“We’ll be looking at not only accomodation businesses and other attractions which are tourism related but also infrastructure priorities.” she said.
