Teatime treats at The Langham
Europe’s first grand luxury hotel, The Langham in London, and its sister properties around the world, will pay homage to a quintessentially British institution – by serving afternoon tea on June 10 at the 1865 price of one shilling and six pence.
This annual ritual is enacted each year to celebrate the anniversary of Langham’s opening in 1865.
This year guests are requested to wear a whimsical touch of pink which is The Langham’s signature colour.
The Langham properties in Auckland, Boston, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Pasadena and Shanghai will be offering the teatime treat.
The event will supported by campaigns on Facebook and Kaixin where contestants have the opportunity to win an afternoon tea by answering the question: “If you could have anything for afternoon tea, what would it be?†and emailing a photo to be uploaded via [email protected].
Winners will be selected on the basis of originality, creativity and popularity.
