TELME FAREBASE ADDS OPEN JAWS TECHNOLOGY
Leading e-productivity airfares distribution specialist, TelMe Farebase, has announced that it has introduced Open Jaws Technology to its Ticket Window Suite of Products. Open Jaws Technology extends the fare offering to end-users who want to make bookings for more complex journeys. It allows passengers to return from a destination other than the one they flew to. The customer might make the trip between the place of arrival and departure overland or even by a separate flight. This should prove particularly attractive to business travellers, especially those travelling in the U.S.A. where business commitments might mean that they will want to fly to New York, travel overland to Washington, and maybe fly to Chicago and return from there. Peter Muller, Managing Director for TelMe Farebase, commented, “This additional development is very much customer driven. It allows agents to extend their fares offering to clients and can quickly deliver complex itineraries”. The TelMe Farebase Open Jaws system is operational for published, private and consolidated fares and mixed classes. It is available on Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre and Worldspan. The Open Jaws Technology will be included with all new TelMe Farebase systems. Existing customers have been advised of this new introduction and will be able to upgrade for a small implementation charge.
