Tempo adds Hungary for a Winter in Europe
Tempo Holidays has added Hungary to Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic as destinations for its new 2007-08 Winter in Europe brochure released this week.
General Manager of Product, Nigel Loveday said these four destinations were most in demand for the winter experience and as neighbours they provided scope for agents to create itineraries to easily cover all countries.
“Last year, most bookings linked several packages,” he said.
The brochure is the first to carry a new look for Tempo. As a result of consumer market research, the new brochure cover retains Tempo’s hallmark bright colours and food images as well as people and textures associated with the destination.
This brochure features a hero image of snow-laden branches, chocolates and a rugged-up family in a horse-drawn carriage.
Packages are drawn from existing product as well as product specially sourced, such as the Advent Weekends in Prague package which is for weekend departures in December.
Some operate only on specific dates in December while others are available until March 31, 2008.
The seven-day Festive Christmas Markets of Germany coach tour (from $1328) is again expected to be a major seller because it includes visits to four famous Christmas Markets.
Other Christmas-themed packages in Germany include the seven-day Munich-based Bavarian Christmas Discovery (from $1406) and a four-day Christmas Delight package (from $776). Travellers can also combine these two packages for an even more comprehensive itinerary.
Other experiences include Tempo’s signature “Taste of …” packages for Vienna (from $703) and Salzburg (from $414), the eight-day Royal Cities Rail Tour (from $1509) which takes you to Budapest, Vienna and Prague; the three-day Advent Weekends in Prague package (from $187); a three-day Opera in Prague package (from $482); and the seven-day Austrian Highlights package (from $1689).
All prices are per person based on twin-share accommodation and include hotels, breakfast and sightseeing as indicated.
