Tempo Holidays fires up Military Tattoo
Tempo Holidays has 3-day weekend packages for one of Scotland’s most famous events, the 2007 Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August, priced at $633 or $755 per person twin share.
Packages include two nights accommodation with full Scottish breakfasts, mid-priced tickets for Saturday evening (with fireworks finale), return coach transfers between hotel and Edinburgh Castle and service and VAT.
The well-placed Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club and Macdonald Inchyra Hotel, located only 20 to 30 minutes from Edinburgh, are the hotel choices. These are 4-star former baronial estates with beautiful private grounds.
General Manager Sales and Marketing, Mark Johnson, said agents selling the Tattoo for the first time should be aware that the Tattoo presents a range of performances, not just bagpipes.
This year’s Tattoo has performers from the Far East, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. The Middlesex County Volunteers Fifes & Drums from Massachusetts, an international Massed Highland Dance Troupe and the haunting lament of the Lone Piper are among them.
Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a grand display of the finest military style musicians and performers in the world and is part of the Edinburgh Festival.
The Edinburgh Festival is a term used to describe the cultural explosion which takes place in the city in August each year. It is made up of a variety of festivals and events including the International Festival, The Fringe, Book Festival, Film Festival, Military Tattoo, Jazz festival and Edinburgh Mela.
Mr Johnson said travellers to Edinburgh at that time would have a plethora of things to see and do on their visit to Edinburgh, and to the broader Scotland where Tempo Holidays has an extensive range of regional hotels, golf packages, day sightseeing tours, coach tours and self-drive tours.
