Tempo puts on the shorts
Tempo Holidays will launch another dimension to its comprehensive Italy and France programme next year………short duration experience packages.
General Manager Product and Commercial, Nigel Loveday said the 2008 brochure due next month introduced two and three-day packages around experiences, as an alternative to more concentrated seven and eight-day packages.
“A segment of the market wants just a taste of the local experience, without going too in-depth,” he said.
Short duration packages combining experiences with accommodation, range from shopping to cooking lessons, tastings (truffles, cheese, saffron, coffee and wine) as well as cycling, city alley tours, chocolate massages, thermal baths, Vespa tours of Rome’s alleyways and Venice’s hidden passageways and gallery visits.
Another feature of the brochure is the addition of Croatia, moved from Tempo Holidays’ Austria and Germany brochure.
Tempo Holidays has created packages and tours for Croatia, consistent with its product style across Europe. These include “Taste of…” packages in Split, Dubrovnik and Zagreb.Croatia was perceived by the market as a Mediterranean coastal destination so was better marketed with its Mediterranean neighbour Italy, said Mr Loveday.
