Tempo sweet on Seville in new Spain Portugal brochure
Tempo Holidays has elevated Seville in its 2008-09 brochure for Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Tunisia, with Product Manager, Naomi Beder saying while Barcelona and Madrid would again feature in most itineraries there was growing demand for Seville, especially for self-drive itineraries into southern Spain.“
Spain lends itself to self-drive exploring because the roads are less frenetic than elsewhere in Europe,” she said.
A Taste of Seville (from $461 per person twin share) package has been added along with a Taste of Flamenco ($414) which includes a one-hour introductory lesson at the Museum of Flamenco Dance while the Unique Encounter in Seville package (from $367) combines the museum with entry to the Arabian Baths and a 15-minute relaxation massage.
All are three day packages and include hotel accommodation and breakfasts.
The brochure features city and regional accommodation, local tours, experiential packages, coach tours, rail packages and car rental with self-drive options.
Spanish Language Classes (starting at $504 for one week) have been introduced with classes taken week by week as travellers explore Spain. There are 20 50-minute classes per week plus five cultural classes.
Barcelona by Bike (from $410) is new as is Cordoba Walking Tour ($96) while in Portugal two new eight-day cycling tours (from $2352) continue Tempo’s expansion of experiential product across Europe.
The three-day Oporto Indulgence package (from $742) has been brochured for the first time.
Significant highlights to Tempo’s hotel range is the value-based High Tech chain of modern hotels and three hotels from the Hospes group which operates stylish hotels, in restored historic buildings.
The Road to Santiago which follows part of the pilgrimage route of St James is highlighted as a self-drive route for using the state-run Paradores properties.
Private touring is again the base for Tempo Holidays tours in Morocco and choice of Moroccan villas/riads or five-star hotels applies to both the 12-day Moroccan Treasures tour (from $6145) and 8-day Morocco in Style (from $4720).
