Tentative Tiger goes back to Brisbane
Tiger Airways will resume services on the Melbourne – Brisbane route on Thursday.
The airline, grounded for six weeks due to safety concerns, began flying again last Friday under conditions imposed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
Tiger will also step up the frequency on its Melbourne-Sydney route to five daily return services from Thursday.
Initially, the Melbourne-Brisbane services will fly one return flight daily, with a second return flight being added from August 23.
Tiger Airways said it would announce further network developments “in due courseâ€.
Tiger Airways head of marketing and communications, Vanessa Regan, said, “Since resuming Australian domestic services last Friday the airline has been pleased with solid bookings and the achievement of 100% on time performance for all departures and all arrivals to date.â€
