Thai national park partially closed after landslide
Part of the Khao Yai National Park in Thailand has been closed after a landslide injured two tourists.
Two tourists from the Philippines were injured while on a trail near the Haew Narok Waterfall.
This section of the park is now closed to visitors.
Chaiya Huayhongthong, Chief of Khao Yai National Park, said issued an indefinite closure notice of the area while it receives a full safety inspection.
The landslide happened after days of heavy rain on a popular trail that leads to the waterfall.
The tourists were evacuated and taken to hospital for treatment.
Their condition is not known.
Khao Yai is Thailand’s oldest national park and the third largest in the country.
