Thailand has added restrictions across Bangkok and other provinces as the reopening of Phuket for international tourists looms.

The government still plans to go ahead with reopening Pkuket to vaccinated foreign tourists to visit quarantine-free.

Thailand reported nearly 4,000 new cases.

In Bangkok restaurant service is allowed for takeaway only and all meetings and social events are cancelled.

Shopping centres in Bangkok can stay open until 9pm.

There are also curbs on travel between affected provinces.

They will be isolated in the camps

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha said the call for a seven-day curfew across Bangkok was rejected but the new measures could last for 30 days.
