The big dilemma for Thai tourism
Should the travel industry in Thailand drop its rates to bring back business? It is a hotly contested subject with many diverging views.
The PATA Thailand Chapter will hold a debate on the subject on Wednesday July 28 1730-2000 hrs at Siam Ocean World.
Speakers for and against include Luzi Matzig, Group CEO, Asian Trails; Chaladol Ussaman, CEO, CBS Travel Asia; Wayne Buckingham, VP and Area Managing Director (Thailand), Starwood; Jim Reed, CEO, Destination Asia and Chanin Donavanik, CEO, Dusit International
There will be opportunities to make comment from the floor.
The event is free for Chapter members who bring a Chapter 2010 luncheon voucher (worth 500 baht).
Non-chapter members pay 800 baht to join.
Prices include entry fees to the Siam Ocean World, hot and cold snacks & hors d’oeuvres as well as soft drinks.
