The Maldives achieves WTTC Safe Travels Stamp
The tourism industry in the Indian Ocean islands of the Maldives has received a boost with news that the destination has received the WTTC Safe Travels Stamp.
The idea of the stamp is that it demonstrates additional health and hygiene protocols have been adopted by the destination to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
It is a global stamp of approval endorsed by the WTTC and more than 200 travel companies.
Earlier this week the Philippines became the 100th destination to receive the Safe Travels stamp.
However, both remain on the UK government’s list of countries from where arrivals must quarantine for 14 days.
