The Mole shakes it with the Sheikh!
Tomorrow at last sees the culmination of over two years of hard work and frustration by Emirates Hotels and Resorts when HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum the Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group breaks ground at the new Emirates Resort in the Blue Mountains at Wolgan Valley.
With an estiamted expenditure of over $100m for what is believed to be a thirty villa resort, the project is now over 18 months behind schedule, with as one Emirates senior manager told the Mole recently, totally as a result of the delays and beauracracy created by the New South Wales Government, adding if we knew them what we know now, we would never have chosen New South Wales and might have gone south or north!
The event tomorrow as reported by The Mole recently in an intervew with Richard Vaughan, VP Commercial Operatiosn with Emirates, is also likely to see the announcement by Sheik Ahmedh of a substantial increase in services by Emirates to Australia.
Well the The Mole will be up very early tomorow to make its way to Wolgan Valley, so no TravelMole tomorrow, but a full report on Thursday hot from Wolgan Valley.
