The Steakhouse honors “Women of Spirit”

Morton’s The Steakhouse’s national restaurant group is partnering with the American Red Cross and the nation’s leading women in wine, to recognize America’s “Women of Spirit” (WOS) at exclusive wine dinners to be held at Morton’s restaurants, in 38 cities from coast to coast.  Morton’s The Steakhouse will decide the winner to be announced on June 25th at the dinner.

Local residents of each of the 38 cities on the “Women of Spirit” wine dinner tour will find out just who won, after each community nominated woman who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to volunteerism and service—women who reflect similar values and principles to the mission of the American Red Cross.  Members of both the Red Cross and

The winner will be invited to the Women of Spirit Wine Dinner, and towards the end of the dinner, awarded a Morton’s gift card valued at $150 and invited to have dinner for two anytime through December 30, 2007.  Silent Auction items at the dinner will include a limited edition, beautifully framed assortment of 26 wine labels, all personally signed by the female winemakers involved in this WOS event around the nation. Orlando’s art is the 10th out of 43 developed for WOS, and any guest to Morton’s can pre-bid on the displayed item up until the day of the event.

Tylor Field III, Morton’s vice president of wine and spirits, has secured America’s top female winemakers, sommeliers and proprietors for each of these Women of Spirit dinners. Beginning in May and continuing through September, each of these 38 experts will host a wine dinner in a Morton’s private dining Boardroom across America. 

In Orlando, the wine host will be Anna Abbona from the Marchesi de Barolo winery will be presenting the wine dinner Monday, June 25th at 6:30 p.m.  The wine dinners throughout the nation will be priced at $150 per person, and Morton’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from all the dinners to the American Red Cross.
