The year’s first strategic global travel conference set for Dallas
Organizers say Res-Expo 2006 in March will be the first strategic global travel conference of 2006.
Conference co-producers Travel Technology Source, LLC, and Market Designs, LLC announced growing executive participation.
SideStep.com, which delivers airline travel choices to more than 4.7 million consumers each month, will be represented by its new president and CEO, Rob Solomon.
Mr Solomon, as well as Google’s Managing Director of Travel Jane Butler, and Steve Hafner, CEO of Kayak, will discuss the changing role of meta-search engines in the current online travel environment.
ResExpo is also attracting Brian Clark, vice president-planning and sales, for the new low-cost Virgin America carriers.
He will discuss the future of aviation with panel members Tim Claydon, senior vice president of JetBlue, and Kevin Healy, vice president of Air Tran.
The keynote speaker will be Don Tapscott, New York Times best-selling author of The Digital Economy, Digital Capital and The Naked Corporation.
The Res-Expo Exhibitor Pavilion is sold out.
The purpose of Res-Expo is to educate industry executives and professionals about new concepts and trends impacting the travel distribution industry as well as to look at advanced technologies and best practices of travel companies.
The conference will be held March 7 and 8 at The Adam’s Mark Hotel in Dallas.
