Theme park offers rainy day guarantee
Drayton Manor Theme Park has launched a Rainy Day Guarantee for the rest of June.
Under the guarantee, visitors can return for free on another date in June or September if it rains continuously for two or more hours on the day of their visit.
William Bryan, managing director of the park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, said: "The weather in British summertime is well known for its unpredictability. Heavy downpours and flash floods have been dampening the spirits of Brits on day outings for many years. That’s why we decided to do something about it!
"We understand the value and importance of family fun, which is why we have launched this initiative to ensure the weather can no longer put a dampener on your day out."
To qualify, visitors must have purchased advanced tickets directly from Drayton Manor.
Return tickets will only be considered if it rains heavily and continuously for a period of over two hours between 10am and 5pm.
Guests are asked to check the website before calling to make sure their visit date has been deemed a rainy day.
The park, which celebrates its 65th birthday this year, is also offering a family ticket for four people for £65, when booked online seven or more days in advance.
