This Easter Discover Nature as You’ve Never Seen it Before
This Easter, introduce the family to the Easter Bilby as you head back to nature with Warrumbungle National Park Discovery Program.
Running April 14 to 28, over the NSW school holidays, the Discovery Ranger Program is a wonderful Easter holiday adventure for families to discover the amazing wonders of our natural environment as they partake in any number of the 25 activities on offer.
Warrumbungle National Park, located in Central NSW is known for it’s ruggedly spectacular, mountain scenery and wildlife. Why not, hop along to the Kangaroo Hop Tour where children can meet local Kangaroos, or join a tag-a-long tour to places of cultural significance with an Aboriginal Ranger. Extra activities include bushwalks, art making, night stalks, campfire and trivia evenings, activities related to endangered species and rewarding early morning bird walks.
“The Discovery Ranger activities in the Warrumbungles are a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to get back to nature and truly appreciate the wonders of our unique natural environment. You can let the kids run free on an Easter Bilby hunt, enjoy a campfire night under our stunning starry night skies or try something a little more challenging like a three hour hike to see the most amazing mountain views at sunset,” said Aileen Bell, Discovery Co-ordinator.
The Warrumbungle National Park Discovery Program is aimed at people of all ages and interests. It seeks to educate and strengthen knowledge of Australia’s natural environment, while building an understanding of the importance of bio-diversity and cultural heritage through a range of fun-filled activities led by trained Discovery Rangers.
This Easter why not visit Coonabarabran in the Heart of Country NSW and discover a special part of the Australian environment, as you’ve never seen it before. Bookings necessary for all activities with the exception of slide nights. Contact the Warrumbungle National Park on Ph. 02 6825 4364 for further details and camping information. Please note participants are asked to remember that they are visiting a protected area and national park rules apply.
So go on, get out into the great outdoors these school holidays and discover new horizons in the Warrumbungles.
