Thomas Cook India buys Kuoni’s destination management network

Thomas Cook (India) has sealed a deal to acquire Kuoni’s Destination Management Specialists, a global network of suppliers based in 17 countries.
 
The deal will include premium travel brands with expert knowledge in their markets, including Asian Trails, Desert Adventures Tourism, and Australian Tours Management.
 
These businesses are located on the ground in markets ranging from the USA, Canada, South Africa, China, UAE, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia.
 
"In keeping with the Fairfax strategic intent of fair and friendly acquisitions, our agreement to acquire Kuoni’s global network of Destination Management Specialists in 17 countries, provides us a significant expanded global footprint with enhanced presence in The Americas, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia- all favoured destinations for tourists and business travellers worldwide," said Madhavan Menon, chairman and managing director, Thomas Cook India Group.
 
"This acquisition is a strong reiteration that the Thomas Cook India Group continues to invest and grow its travel businesses globally with a view to creating strong value for its customers."
 
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
