Thomas Cook launches Manchester-San Fran flights
Thomas Cook Airlines has launched twice-weekly transatlantic flight to San Francisco from Manchester Airport.
The carrier’s inaugural San Francisco flight took off on Sunday, with direct flights also operating on Thursdays.
Return prices start at £400 in economy and £790 for premium class.
Manchester Airport commercial director Stephen Turner said: "Manchester Airport is the only UK airport outside of London to offer direct services to San Francisco and gives our 26.5m annual passengers easy access to the West Coast of the US.
"I am sure this route will be a success."
The route is the seventh direct flight operated by Thomas Cook Airlines from Manchester to the US.
The company’s chief airlines and hotels officer Christoph Debus, said: "We are the largest long-haul carrier from Manchester Airport and offer the best US leisure destinations for holidaymakers in the north west."
