Thomas Cook Sport to shut southern office

Friday, 28 Nov, 2014 0

Thomas Cook Sport is closing its office in Egham, Surrey and moving all operations to Cheshire.

Four members of staff who are in sales and commercial roles based in Egham are in consultation with the company, a spokesman confirmed.

The spokesman said: "As part of the Thomas Cook transformation we have recently reviewed Thomas Cook Sport operations and commercial functions to understand how we can continue to meet the needs of our customers by maximising the delivery of processes and operational delivery.

"As an outcome of this review we believe that the operations and commercial teams should be situated together in one location.

"We are therefore proposing that four Egham-based roles relocate to the Thomas Cook Sport office in Altrincham.

"We have no plans to close Thomas Cook Sport – quite the opposite. We are committed to growing the business and this is very much our focus."
