Thomson Airways expands Dreamliner network
Thomson Airways kicks off its winter 2013 programme on Friday November 1, with more flights on its 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Inaugural flights to Jamaica, the Maldives, Thailand, Barbados, Kenya, Cuba, Goa and the Dominican Republic – both Punta Cana and Puerta Plata – are taking place over the next six weeks on the Dreamliners, which joined the Thomson fleet in June.
This summer over 240,000 customers travelled on more than 860 Thomson 787 Dreamliner passenger flights, to a variety of short-haul destinations, as well as Thomson’s regular long-haul routes Cancun, Mexico and Sanford, Florida.
Thomson has seen an increase in its customer satisfaction questionnaire scores results following the arrival of the Dreamliner, with 99% of respondents saying they would recommend the airline and 97% rating their experience on board the aircraft as excellent or good.
Thomson Airways director of customer service Carl Gissing, said: "We’re really excited about hitting the 250,000 passenger mark on board the Dreamliner and operating to some different long haul destinations this winter.
"As a business, we’ve worked really hard to modernise our holidays and the 787 has been a key part of that."
