Thomson Dream onboard with Olympian
Olympic medalist, Jamaica’s Yohan Blake – the second fastest man in the world – takes on world-class freerunners in a new film from Thomson Cruises to promote its 2014 and 2015 sailings from Montego Bay, Jamaica.
The Dream Runners video sees stunt professionals 3RUN, who have worked on Hollywood blockbusters like Casino Royale and World War Z, flip over Blake in the starting blocks and race against him as they freerun across Jamaica to get to the cruise ship, Thomson Dream, before it sets sail from Montego Bay.
The scenes with Blake were filmed at the Jamaican runner’s training ground in Kingston.
The film also sees the freerunners scaling Dunn’s River Falls, flipping over market stalls in Ocho Rios, and diving from the cliffs in Negril, before vaulting onto jet skis to chase Thomson Dream and scale its sides, James Bond-style.
Dream Runners is the sequel to the 2013 film, Platinum Parkour, which took freerunning to the high seas for the first time to unveil the multi-million pound makeover of cruise ship, Thomson Dream.
The sequel has been released to celebrate Thomson Dream’s new homeport of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and showcases, in action movie-style, the shore excursions available to Thomson Cruises customers.
The Thomson Dream sets sail from Montego Bay in December 2014 to destinations including Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Honduras, Belize and Mexico.

Note: Freerunning, according to Wikipedia, is "the art of expressing oneself in his or her environment without limitation of movement".
