Thomson updates cruise ships for Platinum brand
Thomson Cruises is using a multi-million pound investment to update Thomson Dream and Thomson Celebration under the new Platinum Cruise brand.
All ships in the Platinum range will be rated 4T and will go hand in hand with Thomson’s Platinum hotel – with 90% of customers having to score them ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ to qualify.
Thomson Dream’s first sailing as a Platinum ship will be the Transatlantic Sunset cruise on 9 December 2012, beginning in Lisbon, Portugal and finishing in a Caribbean favourite, Barbados.
The ship will then cruise around the Caribbean for the winter season.
Thomson Celebration will be Platinum from 6 May 2013 from her home port in Marmaris, Turkey – offering Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea itineraries.
Fraser Ellacott, managing director of Thomson Cruises said, "We’re very excited about launching Platinum Cruises, which will be on sale to the public from 25 April 2012.
"For those wanting to opt for the popular Cruise & Stay option, Thomson Cruises has included several Platinum hotels in their collection."
