Thomson’s Dreamliner brings nearly 100 per cent satisfaction
Thomson has reported almost 100% satisfaction with its new Dreamliner, with nearly all customers recommending the plane to friends and family.
According to the tour operator’s Satisfaction Questionnaires (CSQ), which are collected on the return journey of a customer’s holiday, 97% of all respondents rated their experience on board the Thomson 787 Dreamliner this summer as good or excellent, and a massive 99% would recommend the airline after travelling on the new plane.
The first direct non-stop Thomson Airways flight to Phuket took off today from Gatwick thanks to the Dreamliner using 20% less fuel.
It departed at 2.25pm to arrive less than 12 hours later on the Thai island.
Mr Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) UK, Ireland and South Africa, said: "The new partnership helps our continuing initiative to target the family market and encourage more young and teenage families to holiday in Thailand. It’s also a great choice for couples looking for a romantic holiday as not only can they enjoy the comforts of the Thomson 787 Dreamliner but they’re now able to land straight in the heart of Phuket and fast track their holiday to Thailand’s idyllic beaches and islands."
Thomson Airways currently has four Boeing 787 Dreamliners in the fleet and will take delivery of another four by May 2015.
