Thousands hit by Barcelona Airport strike
Passengers were left standed at Barcelona Airport due to a strike by Iberia workers.
The 11-hour walk-out by 2,500 of the airline’s staff at Spain’s second busiest airport led to chaos on Friday.
Up to 100,000 passengers were reportedly caught up in the action which led to almost 600 flights being cancelled until 07.00 on Saturday morning.
Staff walked out after the airline lost a licence to run handling operations at the airport, according to reports.
