Thousands of tourists stranded as floods hit Thailand
Floods on the southern coast of Thailand have killed at least 11 people and have left thousands of tourists stranded.
The floods have hit the popular island resorts of Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
Landslides in Krabi have killed at least two people and 20 people are missing.
Flights have been grounded and ferry services disrupted due to rough seas.
The airport on Koh Samui was closed causing disruptions to flights. Around 2,000 tourists are believed to be stranded on the island.
According to the BBC, the Thai navy has sent its only aircraft carrier to help rescue those stranded.
The Foreign Office has warned there is continued risk of mudslides and flash flooding.
Electricity and communications are currently disrupted across the region.
