Tiger Airways claims to be truly the only low fare airline in Australia
Yesterday, on a day when Tiger Airways Australia released fares from $9.95 and $19.95 inclusive of taxes and charges Qantas and Jetstar have joined Virgin Blue in increasing their fuel surcharge, conversely Tiger Airways has not announced an increase of its fuel surcharge because it doesn’t have one, claiming what you see is what you get with Tiger Airways which is genuine low fares.
Chris Ward, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Australia said, “Fuel is a cost of doing business in aviation so when you book with Tiger we don’t add it on top.”
“The everyday traveller just wants to know how much it will cost to get to their destination not what the world price of aviation fuel is doing.” “To do otherwise is just muddying the waters”
Tiger Airways Australia sasy that it has once again ensured its low fare credentials in the Australian market by releasing low low fares from as little as $9.95 inclusive of taxes and charges, Ward saying, “Yet again this highlights that Tiger is the only genuine low fare airline in Australia.” “The time has come for Virgin and Jetstar to come clean and stop calling themselves low cost carriers as today’s action clearly show that they are not.”
“To continue doing so confuses travellers.”
He also said, “The Australian traveler is savvy when it comes to booking the real deal and Tiger has seen its no frills model embraced wholeheartedly by those people hungry for value for money airfares.”
