Tiger Airways hires the big guns
With effective communication going to be critical for Tiger Airways over the coming months and even years, Australia’s newest domestic and international carrier has made sure that it has the big guns working for it by securing as Tiger’s new Head of Corporate Relations and Communciations, Matthew Hobbs.
Currently Senior Advisor to the Federal Minister for Tourism, Fran Bailey, prior to working for the Minister, Matthew was the National Policy Manager for Aviation and Regional Tourism at TTF, havign worked for the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport, the Hon John Anderson’s office and Wilson Tuckey’s office and at the Commonwealth Department of Transport and Regional Services on Aviation and Airports policy (which included International ASA’s and deregulation of airport services).
Matthew will be joining Tiger on 30 July and he told The Mole today that he looks forward very much to the challenges his exciting new role will bring, which he says include the very extensive competition Tiger faces, which will have to be watched very closely but he also said that he was confident there were plenty of opportunities in the market.
